On Wednesday, life began to return to the Sudanese capital after a closure that lasted nearly three months due to the emerging Corona virus.

Traffic has returned to the streets of Khartoum, and shops and restaurants have opened their doors since morning.
The police removed the roadblocks that they had erected in the main streets to monitor the curfew imposed since the sixteenth of last April.

The Sudanese authorities announced the end of the 84-day total closure, while maintaining the curfew during the night hours and closing the wedding halls and universities.

"The banning hours start from six in the evening until five in the morning," the official Sudanese News Agency quoted the official spokesman for the government and Minister of Culture and Information Faisal Muhammad Salih, assuring that the events and gathering halls are still suspended until the end of August. He also announced "the gradual return to government institutions from next Sunday."

According to official figures, the number of cases of the Covid-19 epidemic in Sudan reached 19,999, including 622 deaths.
