Several close advisers to Emmanuel Macron have joined the ministers' offices of the new Castex government, announced Monday. Jean Gaborit, 26, one of the founders of Jeunes avec Macron and so far deputy chief of staff to Emmanuel Macron, confirmed to AFP that he would become chief of staff for the new Keeper of the Seals Eric Dupond- Moretti.
Three close to Macron in the ministries
This close to the head of state, Walker from the start, had replaced Alexandre Benalla, dismissed in 2018 by the Elysée after a resounding scandal. He accompanied Eric Dupond-Moretti from his first trip to Fresnes prison on Tuesday.
Mathias Ott, former advisor for regional cohesion and housing at the Elysée Palace, has been appointed chief of staff to Jean Castex in Matignon. This ex-candidate of the PS in Seine-Saint-Denis had been chief of staff of Christophe Castaner.
These transfers are in addition to the appointment, as chief of staff to Prime Minister Jean Castex, of Nicolas Revel, former deputy secretary of the Elysée with Emmanuel Macron, with whom he remained close. He replaces Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas, right-hand man of Edouard Philippe, who had refused when arriving at Matignon to take Nicolas Revel as "dircab" whom the Head of State wanted.
