Officially, the British Minister of Finance, Rishi Sunak, presents a "mini budget". But it will only have a "mini" in name. It is called that, because this new text is presented outside the two annual budgets for spring and fall. It is actually a real recovery plan.

British Prime Minister spoke last week of a "New Deal" like that of American President Franklin Roosevelt after the Great Recession in the 1930s. This plan will include corporate tax measures, cuts taxes for individuals too. It will have a strong green connotation, but it will also aim to preserve employment, while unemployment should increase sharply this fall, after the end of the partial unemployment measures put in place by the government.
