- We see that there are women here who, because of the pandemic, have lost their jobs in their home countries when companies, for example, have fallen over. This also harnesses the pimples, says Anna Runesson, who works to help vulnerable women in NMT, National Methodological Support for Prostitution and Trafficking in Human Beings.

Another consequence of the corona pandemic is increased competition for customers. It forces the prostitutes to agree on things they haven't done before, something that P4 Uppland has told us.

The picks deliver the women

Uppsala is a hub of prostitution in the middle region, which also includes Gävleborg and Västmanland. But during the corona pandemic, increased mobility among the pimples has also been noticed - the women are simply delivered to the city where the buyers are located.
