The man, who is 43 years old, was found on Monday morning at the height of the Smedjerondellen in Växjö. He was taken by ambulance to hospital. The hospital later suspected that the man could have been subjected to a crime because his injuries could not be explained by an accident.
According to police, the man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries and it is unclear what has happened. As the circumstances are unclear, the police have launched a preliminary investigation into attempted murder. No one is neither arrested nor suspected.
