Longer distances between the test participants and higher hygiene requirements in the cars are some of the changes that have caused the Swedish Transport Administration to lag behind in the time booking for test occasions. Usually the drive-up must be approved no later than two months after the theory test has been written, but now that time has been extended to six months.

On the other hand, those who cog the drive or the theory test more than twice have to wait even longer to book a new time, as they then end up in a new, longer queue.

The problem is evident throughout the country, although it is worst in the larger cities.
