According to the Korea International Radio (KBS), South Korean President Wen Jae-yin lamented the recent suicide of South Korean triathlete Cui Shuxian at the state conference on the 7th and mourned his family . Wen Zaiyin also said that the relevant departments must thoroughly investigate the violence in the sports industry and severely punish the perpetrators.

  According to reports, Cui Shuxian, a female athlete who was selected to the Korean triathlon national team, complained to the South Korean Sports and Olympic Committee and called the police because of the long-term violence of the coach and the team's predecessors, but they failed to solve the problem. After asking for help, Cui Shuxian committed suicide in a dormitory in Busan at the end of June, only 22 years old.

  Wen Zaiyin said that violence such as the abuse of Cui Shuxian athletes is a product of the old era, and relevant departments must thoroughly investigate the violence in the sports world and severely punish the perpetrators.

  Wen Zaiyin also pointed out that similar unfortunate incidents could not happen again, and asked the investigating agency to investigate whether there were similar incidents of violence.
