The clip: Here the vehicles blow past - The Swedish Transport Administration's measures worsened

It is long and straight - the route through Järlåsa. And it invites you to drive over 40 kilometers per hour.

"From the fact that many people have driven too fast through the village, the past month has turned into a brutal fort and it is not uncommon to feel like sitting next to a motorway at our house," writes Maria Berger in social media.

And she is not alone in raising the problem of high speeds throughout society, a problem that has worsened since the road was made and the speed lowered, according to Maria Berger.

- We lowered the speed to protect the unprotected road users, and moved the cameras where they give a better effect. Driving faster than 40 kilometers per hour is in itself a criminal offense, says Sofia Lindahl, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.

Worried about the school children

Although there has been no serious accident in recent years, Maria Berger with several worried.

- Children should not have to cross the road in these conditions. Elderly people also need better protection, yes, everyone - both humans and animals, she says.

The fact that many have heard of the Swedish Transport Administration has had an effect:

"The Swedish Transport Administration will start a pilot selection study in 2021 to review the need for a possible road adaptation," the authority writes in a response to Maria Berger.

- It is hopeful, usually action is taken when something serious has happened - but I think it would be good if the situation improved before something serious happens here, she says.
