The Fujairah Appeals Court postponed the verdict in a case in which three Gulf defendants were convicted of kidnapping and beating their neighbor until next week, and the Dibba Fujairah Court of First Instance sentenced them to six months suspended prison terms.

The details of the case are due to the fact that the Public Prosecution referred three defendants to the judiciary, after a notification was received from Dibba Al-Fujairah police that Al-Khaleeji was kidnapped and beaten while in a state of drunkenness, as police teams handed over the investigation of their case to the Public Prosecution after they arrested the defendants.

The victim indicated during the police and prosecution investigations that the first and second defendants (his neighbors) illegally seized his freedom, as they caught him in front of his door, paralyzed his movement and detained him despite his induction and requesting assistance, and beat him and handed him to the police station, in cooperation with their cousin who came Later.

While the first defendant admitted in previous sessions that he forced the victim, along with the second defendant, to ride in their vehicle, they did not exercise force with him, indicating that the victim, who is their neighbor, tried to kidnap their sister from her vehicle by force, but that she managed to close the door of her vehicle and lock it and then seek help With them to protect her from him, after the victim forced her to get off her vehicle and go home.

The first defendant continued that when he tried to go out with his brother, who is the second defendant to help their sister, he did not find him, as he fled to his house, so they knocked on the door for him to understand, so he denied what he did, forcing them to take him to the nearest police station, but they were surprised that they became the accused.

The second defendant said: "We have a medical report issued by a government hospital in the emirate, proving that our sister was subjected to an attempted harassment and kidnapping while trying to ride her vehicle."

He pointed out that the medical report states that she was exposed to PTSD, and that she felt intense fear and anxiety, in addition to that her mood is mixed between anxiety and fear.

For his part, the third defendant said that he did not take the victim from his door, but that he received a call from his cousin, the first defendant, informing him that his sister was abused by their neighbor, and that he took him to the police station.

The Dibba Al Fujairah Court of First Instance sentenced them to six months suspended imprisonment.
