The Director of the Sharjah Medical Zone, Mohammed Al-Zarouni, revealed a high rate of recovery cases from infection of the Corona virus emerging in the emirate, pointing out that more than 500,000 checks have been made since the pandemic for community members and workers, confirming that four hotels were designated to host isolation patients The health care was free of the injured, and only one hotel remained housing minor cases, and it will be declared free soon.
He pointed out that the Sharjah Medical Zone, as directed by the Ministry of Health, is continuing to expand the scope of checks, to include all residents of the emirate, as a tent has been created to examine the residents of the Nahda and cooperation regions, by sending text messages to them to determine the date of taking the sample, indicating that it will target Every day, between 1500 to 2000 people, as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
And he explained that in the event that any case is discovered, from the population that will be examined in the tent, measures will be taken according to the protocols followed by the Ministry of Health, from health isolation, or treatment with one of the health facilities designated to treat “Corona” patients, follow up on his condition, and examine all those in contact with him.
He pointed out that the health sector in the Emirate of Sharjah has taken, since the beginning of the pandemic, many precautionary measures to limit the spread of the virus, including increasing the number of medical cadres and volunteers, allocating facilities for health isolation, and allocating mobile tents and clinics to check employment in industrial areas, companies and residents, including citizens and residents.
He stressed the important role of society, government agencies and humanitarian initiatives, which supported the efforts of the Ministry of Health, to confront the Corona pandemic, and to reach this high rate of recovery cases, and the large role of hospitals in receiving and treating cases, especially those requiring medical intervention and intensive care. He reported that the outcome of the medical examinations of the Corona virus, conducted by the medical survey teams, through field cadres, centers and tents designated for that, exceeded 500 thousand tests, indicating that there is a systematic plan to open tents devoted to examining the Corona virus free of charge.
And that, during the coming days, a number of centers will be opened for some areas and residential neighborhoods in the city of Sharjah, indicating that the examination aims to reassure the residents of the residential neighborhoods, and alleviate the financial burdens on them, as they are examined free of charge to practice their lives normally.
