There were several hundred on Saturday July 4, National Day, at the White March for Vanessa Guillén in Houston, her hometown. “She joined the military thinking it was a safe place for her. But the army dropped it, ”said a protester, Christina.

The disappearance of Vanessa Guillén required the moblisation of her family and of association so that Fort Hood finally launches an investigation. Lupe Guillén is the sister of the disappeared: "  How could this have happened on a military base? How could this have happened while she was on duty? All these military men and women who are being sexually assaulted ... They take it as a joke.  "

The silence of the army prompted the release of speech by other soldiers. “  Several women contacted us through the hashtag # Iamvanessaguillén  (# jesuisvanessaguillén), telling us that they were raped, victims of sexual abuse, harassed while the army did nothing to protect them. There is no security if your daughter decides to join the army or any military branch,  ”regrets Domingo Garcia, the president of the Union of Latin American Citizens.

Friday, Joe Biden has cracked a statement: he writes that "  his heart is broken by the insane disappearance of Vanessa Guillen. We must end harassment and sexual assault in the military and bring those responsible to justice.  He wrote.

Last Wednesday, a soldier suspected of the affair killed himself. His ex-wife is heard by justice this Monday.
