At least two people have died this Monday in a helicopter accident that occurred near La Seo de Urgel , in the Lleida Pyrenees , Civil Protection has reported through its official twitter account. Civil Protection has alerted the Aerocat emergency plan for aeronautical emergencies due to this accident, which occurred in the municipality of La Vansa i Fórnols (Alto Urgel) , near the San Marcos area .

According to the first reports, at 11:49 a.m., a witness alerted the emergency telephone number 112 that he had seen a helicopter crash and that it was on fire. The emergency forces have confirmed the death of the two occupants of the ship, who were in the area performing maintenance work on power lines, Civil Protection has reported in a statement.

1 medicalized helicopter and a ground unit of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) traveled to the site ; and 3 air resources from the Generalitat Fire Department (1 bomber helicopter and 2 rescue helicopters from the Special Actions Group (GRAE) at the Seo bases in Urgel and Cerdanyola).
