The PSOE-M has filed a complaint on Monday before the State Attorney General's Office for the alleged "irregularities" in the publication of a contract by the Community of Madrid on behalf of the Room Mate hotel chain, owner of the aparthotel to which the regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso moved after testing positive for Covid-19 and where she lived for two months. The main opposition party considers that the regional government has been able to commit a "crime of falsification in a public document".

The Ministry of Social Policies, one of those that depend on Citizens in the autonomous coalition Executive and directed by Alberto Reyero, was the one that awarded "by mistake" -according to its version- 565,000 euros to the company of Kike Sarasola . This alleged mistake cost the post to the technical secretary general of the area, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, and the announcement of the opening of an internal investigation by the PP leader, from which his conclusions have not yet transpired.

The PSOE-M complaint, the text of which has not yet been provided to the media, is directed "against all those who may appear in the investigation as responsible for these events." "We understand that the Prosecutor's Office must begin to investigate, in principle, for the alleged commission of crimes of falsehood in a public document or, where appropriate, of any of the crimes against the Public Administration , without prejudice to what is finally proven", Organization Secretary Carmen Barahona has pointed out.

As explained in a press conference, the publication of the contract on the Recruitment Portal "was initially attributed to an error" and finally "disappeared, just when the day before it was known that Isabel Díaz Ayuso was staying in a hotel in this chain during the alarm state, under conditions that could be described as advantageous . " The president assured that she would pay the amount -80 euros a day- out of pocket.

"The seriousness of the events and the people involved, beyond the internal administrative or political investigation announced by the Community of Madrid, about which only the intention to carry it out is known, has led us to file this complaint," Barahona has stressed.
