The secretary-general of the second floor of the Liberal Democratic Party met with Governor Koike, who was re-elected in the Tokyo Governor's election, and requested that the new coronavirus measures be given the highest priority.
Governor Koike, who was re-elected in the Tokyo Governor's election, visited the LDP headquarters on the afternoon of the 6th and met with the secretary-general of the second floor.
Governor Koike thanked Mr. Nikai for his support, and explained that the government needs to support the new coronavirus countermeasures.
In response, Mr. Nikai said, "I want you to fulfill the role of the capital and work hard to deal with it," and requested that the new coronavirus countermeasures be given the highest priority.
In addition, Governor Koike also talked with the President of the Komeito Party, Yamaguchi, and indicated that he would tackle the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games along with measures against the new coronavirus.
Mr. Yamaguchi said, "The biggest challenge is the countermeasure against the new coronavirus, and I would like you to focus your efforts on it."
After this, Mr. Yamaguchi told reporters, "We want to work together to overcome the corona and hold the Olympics."
