These municipal elections do not end in Marseille. After the election of the Marseille Spring candidate, Michèle Rubirola, first mayor of Marseille on Saturday, and a campaign full of twists and turns, suspicions of proxy fraud continue.
This time they are not targeting the Republicans' camp, but that of Samia Ghali, she who offered victory to Michèle Rubirola with the votes of her eight running mate, while obtaining the post of second assistant to the town hall.
Searches at the 15th police station
According to Le Media and La Provence, investigators from the financial brigade searched the police station in the 15th arrondissement on Saturday, and four police officers are to be heard on Monday. A report of a fortnight would point the finger at several tens of proxies faxed directly to the police station by the entourage of the various left candidate.
The public prosecutor Dominique Laurens had opened an investigation for "forgery and use of forgery" and "fraudulent maneuvers", after revelations of the press on suspicions of fraud of proxies at Les Républicains.
