The Dalarna region and the municipality of Mora have been testing a new type of collaboration for six months: A mobile healthcare team that visits home visits with elderly and multi-sick people who do not have home care. The idea is that those who can get an assessment and care in the home should not have to go to the emergency room.
"We have received a fantastic reception and everyone feels grateful and very safe," says Malin Trapp, who is a nurse at Mora's care center and who has visited patients many times.
One of those who have received home visits from the healthcare team is Michael Malmen. A fantastic experience for me, he says.
