06 July 2020 Ocean Viking has arrived in the bay of Porto Empedocle, just before 5 am with 180 migrants rescued on board in international waters. The NGO Sos Mediterranee announced it in a tweet.
At the moment the ship has not received any indications for the disembarkation and by order of the harbor master's office, it is therefore stopped in front of the port. And in the harbor there is also the Moby Zazà and the ship of another NGO: the Sea Watch3.

UPDATE The #OceanViking is in the harbor outside Porto Empedocle at the request of the port authority. The ship is anchored and awaits instructions. At the moment we have not received information on how and when the landing will take place. pic.twitter.com/tf8HYTWvyL

Negative swabs on Moby Zazà
The double anti-Covid swabs made to the 169 migrants, guests of Moby Zazà where they carried out health surveillance, are all negative. In the late morning they will be disembarked and transferred to other structures. In the wheel, the bridges of the quarantine ship where these people were placed, will have to be sanitized before they can embark the 180 migrants of Ocean Viking. On Moby Zazà, after the disembarkation of the 169 migrants and before the embarkation of the 180, 42 people will remain, of whom 30 infected by Covid are on deck number 7: the so-called "red zone".
