It was shortly after nine o'clock on Monday morning that, according to police, a man knocked on the door of a house in Vingåker.

- I do not have the exact details of what happened at the time, but he was let in by the residents, says Åsa Willsund, press officer at the police.

Forced car keys

The man must have threatened those living at the address with an affection and then forced them to hand over the keys to a car, a red Honda.

- I do not want to go into what it is to entertain, says Åsa Willsund.

Drove in the ditch

Shortly after the man left the home, an alarm was received about a traffic accident just nearby. It turned out that the red dog had run into a mailbox and then into a ditch. The driver was seen running from the scene in the direction of Annedalsgatan.

Offender not found

After the incident, the police hired a dog driver to try to track the perpetrator. At the time of writing, he is still not found.

During the day, the police held interrogations with witnesses and attorneys. Door knocking has been carried out in the area at the crime scene and a technical examination has been done in the car which has now been returned to the owner.
