According to the agency, the child, playing with a girlfriend near the fountain, dropped the cap into it. Having decided to get it, the girl stepped over the side of the fountain bowl and turned her feet in the water, at the same moment she began to be shocked.
“Her friend tried to provide minor assistance by pulling it from the fountain to the ground, but could not cope on its own. Adults who were found nearby took the girl out of the fountain, but they failed to save the child, ”the statement said.
According to the investigation, the cause of a short circuit could be failures and malfunctions in the electrical equipment that provides the fountain.
“A criminal case was opened on the fact of the death of a nine-year-old girl on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (causing death by negligence), ”the department added.
Earlier in the Tambov region, a passenger train shot down a girl. A minor born in 2005 died as a result of an accident.
