Although Brazilian Felipe Coutinho, Bayern Munich player (loaned from Barcelona) has not yet left the Bavarian team, but the latter gave his shirt number "10" to the newly-joined German Leroy Sani from Manchester City.
Beginning next season, the German international - who moved from the "City" for 49 million euros for five seasons - will wear the number "10" which will be taken from the Brazilian international, who Bayern will not renew again.
While introducing Sani and displaying his No. 10 shirt for sale in the team's official stores, Bayern said, "Out of respect for Coutinho, who can wear the shirt in next August's Champions League matches, Sani decided not to appear with the shirt at present."
The decision was taken by the Bayern administration (the league and cup double champion this season) not to renew Coutinho's loan - which is required from the European leaders - because the team will not make the choice to buy it permanently from Barca.
