The shiny ponds in Vålådalen are threatened, the crystal clear ponds are at risk of becoming black and cloudy - like any pond - due to soil eroding around the ponds.
Therefore, the county administrative board has blocked the area closest to the ponds and made a staircase down to the water where visitors can get down to the turquoise water.
There are signs on the site that indicate that a violation will be reported to the police.
The County Administrative Board also has on-the-spot checks and it was during such a period that two women aged 20-25 were taken into custody when they had passed the barriers.
So the women are reported to the police and the case is investigated as an environmental crime.
