- It burns in from the mine to the conveyor belt and in the factory building, says Magnus Djursvik at just after half past nine on Monday evening.

The alarm about the fire came at 18.43. Initially, it burned heavily in a rubber conveyor belt which caused great smoke development. The conveyor belt should be outdoors.

But the emergency services soon had to request reinforcements. At 20.30 the rescue service had no control over the fire.

- It is extensive right now. Our plan is to try to extinguish the fire from the outside, but it is quite complicated, says Magnus Djursvik.

Five tons of gas tank

About 30 people from the rescue service, distributed on four fire trucks, four tanker trucks, two highway vehicles and some command vehicles are in place, according to Magnus Djursvik.

- The risks we see are partly a five-tonne gas tank and partly an explosives supply, which is in the area but not in the immediate vicinity, says Magnus Djursvik.

However, it is unclear how much gasoline is in the tank.

No injured

By 21.45 the rescue service had not yet obtained control of the fire.

- We work with the same staffing and have not got the fire under control, says Magnus Djursvik, who sees no major risk of the fire spreading outside the industrial area.

According to Magnus Djursvik, there are no reports of physically injured. The fire should have been detected by personnel on site.

- We will have forces in principle throughout the night, says Magnus Djursvik.
