The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the registration of 4207 new cases of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), bringing the total infections to 213,617 cases, and announced the registration of 52 deaths, bringing the total deaths in the Kingdom to 1968 deaths. The Ministry stated that 4,398 new recovery cases were registered, bringing the total number of recovering cases to 149 thousand and 634 cases.
The Ministry indicated that it has increased the absorptive capacity of the regional laboratory in the Asir region by more than 100% in conducting laboratory tests for the Corona virus, to become more than 4000 tests per day, and the expansion will continue to increase the absorptive capacity gradually until it reaches more than 7000 tests.
She added that the laboratory was supported by a group of manpower from various hospitals, and a number of advanced and modern devices of various types were provided to contribute to improving, improving, and speeding up the service, pointing out that the Kingdom had prepared and equipped the national laboratory at the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and also recently launched a number of Laboratories and specialized units throughout the Kingdom, and contributed to a qualitative leap by obtaining test results in a record period, and also contributed to strengthening the prevention of corona virus.
The ministry indicated that it is continuing to intensify laboratory tests through several effective measures that helped in the early detection of cases affected by "Corona", and to take rapid measures to deal with them, as these measures included the implementation of the expanded examination through the field teams of the Ministry of Health to conduct the active survey.
In addition, the Sultanate of Oman recorded, within 24 hours, 1557 confirmed cases of the new corona virus, and the Omani Ministry of Health reported yesterday that the total cases of the virus reached 47 thousand and 735 cases, while the total deaths reached 218 deaths, indicating that the total cases The same for recovery has reached 29,146 cases.
In Kuwait, the Ministry of Health announced, yesterday, that 703 new infections with the new Corona virus were recorded within 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 50 thousand and 644 cases, while five deaths were recorded as a result of the disease, bringing the total number of deaths recorded until Yesterday 373 deaths.
The spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that the 703 cases included 463 cases of Kuwaiti citizens, and 240 cases of non-Kuwaitis. Those cases for recovery after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps taken in this regard.
