In Russia, after the coronavirus, 454,329 patients recovered, including 3,579 in the last 24 hours. This was reported in the operational headquarters to combat the spread of infection on Monday, July 6.

The number of new cases detected in the Russian Federation over the past day is 6,611 people, and 135 deaths were also recorded. In total, 10,296 people died from complications associated with coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases.

In addition, over the past week, the number of recovered Russians with confirmed coronavirus again exceeded the number of detected cases. According to the federal headquarters for the fight against infection, from June 29 to July 5, 46,814 infected were identified, 51,663 people were cured. Last week, there were 49,757 and 59,376, respectively. Thus, for the second week in a row, there are more convalescing people than there are new cases.

Metropolitan doctors cured another 632 people who were infected with coronavirus. This was announced on Monday by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova.

“The number of recovered in Moscow continues to increase. Over the past day after undergoing treatment, another 632 patients recovered. In total, the number of people cured of the infection increased to 157,652, ”she said.

As they reported yesterday in the operational headquarters for controlling the spread of coronavirus, the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Moscow since the end of self-isolation has decreased by almost 60%.

“Since the opening of urban spaces on June 23, the number of new cases has decreased by almost 40%, and since the completion of the self-isolation regime on June 9, by 59%,” the headquarters said.

The increase in the number of infected in seven days amounted to 7.4% against 8.5% a week earlier. The average daily rate decreased from 1.17% to 1.02%. The proportion of already recovered patients in Russia increased from 62.9% to about 66.2%.

The staff recalled that the absence of a person’s disease after treatment is confirmed by special studies.

Muscovites who are recovering are offered to donate blood plasma. A plasma donor can be a person aged 18 to 55 years, having had a coronavirus infection, without chronic diseases. The donor must also have negative tests for HIV, hepatitis B and C.

Coronavirus transmission

On the eve of 239 scientists from 32 countries called on the World Health Organization to recognize the transmission of coronavirus through the smallest particles in the air as a significant factor in the spread of infection. It is reported by The New York Times.

According to scientists, the evidence confirms that the virus can spread through the smallest particles that are trapped in indoor air.

WHO, in turn, claims that the evidence is inconclusive and the virus spreads predominantly through large drops that are released from the patient’s respiratory tract by coughing, sneezing, or communicating and reach any surface.

It was noted that if airborne transmission was confirmed, a number of additional new measures would have to be taken to contain the coronavirus.

In particular, wearing masks will be recommended even with social distance, and the requirements for doctors will be further tightened - they will have to wear masks that filter even the smallest particles.

Doctors support

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of about 7.5 billion rubles for special payments for July to health workers who are in direct contact with patients with COVID-19. Funds will be allocated from the government reserve fund.

“Payments are calculated based on the fact of working with patients with coronavirus, without reference to time,” the cabinet reminded.

Recall the need to support health workers earlier said President Vladimir Putin. Initially, it was decided that the allowance would be paid for three months - from April, then this period was extended until the end of the summer.

As part of the president’s instructions, doctors receive 80 thousand rubles each. Nursing staff - 50 thousand rubles each, the same number of emergency doctors. Junior medical staff, paramedics and ambulance drivers - 25 thousand rubles each.
