The UAE is moving forward towards achieving more global achievements in the space sector. After 9 days, the Emirates mission to explore Mars, "probe of hope", will start to the Red Planet.

The "Probe of Hope", which is the first Arab project to explore other planets, carries a message of hope for all the peoples of the region to revive a history rich in Arab and Islamic achievements in science and embodies the aspiration of the UAE and the endeavor of its leadership to challenge the impossible and overcome it and consolidate this trend is a firm value in the identity of the state and the culture of its children as it is considered An Emirati contribution to shaping and making a promising future for humanity.

Members of the launch team based on the "Probe of Hope" project, which is located in Japan, held a media meeting via the "remote" video communication technology, where they expressed their pride in participating in this pioneering project for the state and the Arab and Islamic world.

They stressed that everyone is ready for this historic moment and a full commitment to fully perform its role and mission to achieve a new achievement for the UAE in the space sector.

More than 30 Emirati engineers from various disciplines participated in the development process ... indicating that the spacecraft's design started with initial designs, up to the current design.

He expressed the team’s pride in having been in this project since 2014, confirming everyone’s eagerness to fully perform his mission.

He pointed out that the youth team of the homeland played a pioneering role during the design and manufacturing process, as they manufactured about 60 very precise mechanical parts and participated in installing them at the probe.

For his part, Omar Al-Shehhi, the merger and testing official, reviewed his role within the project team .. He said that at the beginning of the project he worked on the design of electrical and mechanical ground equipment used in the probe in addition to testing scientific devices and then tests that simulate the space environment such as mechanical vibrations and loud sounds and the void environment from The air.

He indicated that he included the team responsible for transporting the probe to the survey site and testing it after its transfer to ensure its safety and the safety of its various scientific devices, then it is filled with fuel and then joint operations begin and the integration of the probe on the missile.

And our thermal systems official, Youssef Al-Shehhi, said that our mission included designing and manufacturing the probe's thermal insulation. We also carried out several tests, most notably the simulated space environment test to ensure that the design is able to maintain the temperatures of the devices.

Communications systems official Khalifa Al-Muhairi explained that he participated in designing communication devices, contributing to analyzing the communication channel between the probe and the earth station, performing several tests on the systems and verifying the frequencies, quality, transmission power and compatibility with the earth station.

He indicated that he also contributes to equipping, testing and connecting ground support equipment, in addition to testing communications systems.

Mechanical systems official Mahmoud Al-Awadhi said that he took on the team the responsibility for designing the external structure of the probe, after receiving requirements from the scientific devices and the missile, after which a design was designed to meet all these requirements, the most important of which are vibrations and loud sounds of the missile.

He pointed out that his tasks included participating in supplying the probe with fuel, which is a delicate process that lasted for about 6 hours .. Noting that there are several tests before and after the provisioning process to ensure the safety of the systems from any leaks.

Senior Engineer, Mechanical Systems Manufacturing Unit, Ahmed Al Yamahi, expressed his pride in being with the team in Japan, and his mission was to support mechanical operations, ensure safe and secure transportation of the probe from the state to Japan, ensure the safety of all mechanical systems and supervise the installation and integration stages.

Electrical systems official Issa Al-Muhairi said that he joined the project in 2015 and took on the task of estimating the size of solar panels in the device of energy systems as the energy generated from the panels should be sufficient to charge the battery. To check its performance.

He pointed out that at the launch site, electrical ground support devices are equipped and a number of tests are carried out to ensure their safety.

A mechanical engineer at the Al-Amal probe team, Mohammed Al-Amri, said that he designed mechanical ground support equipment during the project period and participated in designing mechanical support equipment for scientific devices and equipment that helps integrate other electronic devices of the probe.

He added that he participated in environmental tests and supervised the conduct of tests for solar panels, whether very cold thermal tests or at high temperature in order to ensure their ability to exist safely in space.

For his part, Director General of the Emirates Space Agency, Muhammad Nasser Al-Ahbabi, paid tribute to the efforts of young national cadres and work teams participating in the project.

Al-Ahbabi told Emirates News Agency “WAM”: “Our distinguished youth proved their worth by representing the Emirates, as they reached a place considered a dream for many and embraced space to consolidate the position of the Emirates, which has become a role model in science, knowledge, innovation and sustainability, and to engage in the vast exploration of space to serve humanity.”

He stressed that the UAE is determined to achieve its space ambitions, and currently, a few days separate us from the launch of the "Probe of Hope" to the Red Planet. With this trip, the UAE will join the club of Mars Explorers, which includes only nine countries.

He added that the successes achieved by the national space sector came as a reflection of the support and care of the wise leadership of the country, noting that the youth of the country are proud to work in this national sector, as well as the successes achieved by the achievements contributed to strengthening their demand for it.
