At the end of June, UNT reported on the oyster's progress at Berkinge swimming and fishing camp.

"Either the mother has died or she has run away from the child," says Benny Djurstedt, owner of the campsite located in Tierp municipality.

Now the carnivore has been moving in the camping area for over a week.

- He is tame anyway and comes into the reception and runs around everywhere. He could come forward and run around on one's feet. Sometimes he slept under the cold, says Benny Djursvik.

The County Administrative Board is connected

Benny says that he has contacted the County Administrative Board and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

- You have been told children who have raised it. It is not good to play with it or lift it up. You don't want it to be tame.

UNT has interviewed the County Administrative Board's wildlife conservation officer Lars Plahn:

- The animal should be left in peace. The best thing is to have the oyster return to where it came from. You should definitely not feed it. If the animal becomes dependent on food from humans, it can be difficult to adapt to nature, he says.

Last Friday Benny Djurstedt saw the otter last.

- Before, we saw it pretty much every day. Hopefully he has been swimming away a bit further and returned to nature.
