Didier Raoult. - ISA HARSIN / SIPA

Three vials sent to Professor Didier Raoult were enough to sow panic at the Institut hospitalo universitaire Méditerranée Infection. Provence reports that the Marseille infectiologist received three vials in a suspicious package on Thursday morning. The contents of one of the containers spilled on the hands of a secretary.

The nuclear, radiological, bacteriological and chemical cell of the Firefighters Battalion was sent on site, as was the criminal brigade of the judicial police.

In the end, the package was not threatening. It would seem that a Guadeloupian supporter of Didier Raoult would have liked to make him discover a “homemade” treatment against the coronavirus. The vials indeed contained a mixture of sulfur, ethanol, plant extracts and fennel.
