A small plane crashed at a place called La Petite-Robinière near the Angers-Marcé airport on Saturday around noon during aerobatic training, reports Le Courrier de l'Ouest . The pilot, aged about sixty, died instantly. His passenger, also in his sixties, was transported to Angers hospital in serious condition.

An investigation has been opened

The plane, a Stampe from the Marcé club, crashed 500 m from the end of the airfield runway in a grain field. 30 SDIS Maine et Loire firefighters were dispatched to the site. The two victims were members of the Stampe Aéro Passion, training center and aerobatics of Angers (CPVA).

We do not yet know the reasons for this crash. An investigation was opened to determine what could have caused this dramatic accident.
