The chairman of the party’s general political council, Grigory Anisimov, said at the congress that Roman Putin was elected chairman and leader of the party.

The vote was secret; the leader was elected for a five-year term.

The party’s leadership noted that the inclusion of a “successful entrepreneur, public and political activist” in the party would give it an impetus in the implementation of anti-corruption activities and social projects.

Earlier it was reported about the creation of the party "For Truth", its leader was the writer Zakhar Prilepin. It was also reported that the leader of the Leningrad group, Sergei Shnurov, joined the Growth Party.
