The accident happened around half past six on Sunday morning. The man, who is in his 50s, must have survived without injury.
Although the man states that he fell asleep at the wheel, the police decided to arrest him, but it is still unclear what is the basis for the arrest.
- It is not uncommon for people to fall asleep on the E6 and no one is automatically arrested. It may be that the identity is unknown or that one should not complicate the investigation, says Anna Göransson.
The man is now suspected of carelessness in traffic.
Otherwise, it must have been a long night in the county, according to the police spokesperson.
