Juventus and Atalanta big winners of the weekend in Serie A: after Lazio Rome on Saturday, Inter Milan collapsed Sunday against Bologna and the two defeated saw the Turinese spin and get closer to the Bergamasques.

Inter Antonio Conte could however take advantage of the big road trip of Lazio, swept 3-0 Saturday by AC Milan, to approach the second place in the championship.

But the nerazzurri in turn fell heavily on Sunday by losing 2-1 at home against Bologna.

Once again, the weekend will therefore have mainly benefited Juventus, a very solid leader and the only team on the podium to have taken points, by beating Torino 4-1 on Saturday.

Eight days to go, Juve are now seven points ahead of Lazio and 11 over Inter. And the Milanese are even under the direct threat of Atalanta Bergamo (4th), who was to win 1-0 at Cagliari.

"There is little to say because what happened is pretty clear. We all have to take responsibility, me first and the players too. We gave this game and it happens often," said Antonio Conte, mad.

Inter had however started the match well and opened the scoring by Lukaku (22nd), the author of his 20th goal of the season by taking a header from Lautaro Martinez pushed away by the post.

But Bologna made a remarkable match, and had already been dangerous by Orsolini, then with a shot on the post of Barrow.

Sinisa Mihajlovic's team then had to manage at 10 with the expulsion of Soriano. And when the referee whistled for a penalty in favor of Inter, the matter seemed to have been heard.

But Lautaro, in a crisis of confidence in front of the goal, hit him badly and the goalkeeper Skorupski rejected his shot. In the process, Milan defender Bastoni in turn received a red card and the game was balanced again.

And Bologna (9th) finished it very strong with two goals from their young Gambian attackers Juwara (18), equalizer (74th), then Barrow (21), who concluded in the 80th minute a superb action to offer three points to his team.

After the Inter match, Atalanta therefore took three important points from Cagliari (1-0), thanks to one of the very many penalties whistled on this 30th day (already 10), transformed by Luis Muriel.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini had made many changes and his Atalanta suffered and was less bright than usual.

But the Bergamo team are just one point away from the podium and have created a chasm behind them, too wide to fear being threatened in the Champions League race.

Because AS Rome (5th) is 15 points before going to Naples (7th) to conclude the 30th day, from 9.45pm.
