On the afternoon of July 4, local time, the Alawi area in northern Iraq’s capital Baghdad was shot by unknown sources. At least three rounds of ammunition were fired, and each round of gunfire lasted for about 3 seconds.
According to some pictures posted on social media, some civilian vehicles nearby were penetrated through the shell, and the casualties are currently unknown.
According to local sources, the shooting may have been a drill conducted by a security company inside the US embassy outside the embassy, when a plane flew over the Alawi area and shot some houses and vehicles.
But the Iraqi security department has not issued an official statement confirming the matter. (Reporter Fu Xinri)
