According to reports, on May 25, African-American man Freud died after being "kneeled" by the police in Minneapolis, which triggered anti-racial discrimination protests in many places in the United States. There have also been multiple protests in Seattle, some on interstate highways.
In the early hours of July 4, local time, a car drove into a crowd of protesters in a block in Seattle where a patrol property was closed. "A car drove through the enclosure and hit multiple pedestrians on the highway." Patrol officer Trooper Rick Johnson said on social media.
Ron Mead of the Washington State Patrol said some protesters tried to escape to avoid being hit, but "unfortunately, two protesters were hit by vehicles."
Mead also stated that the suspect was a 27-year-old man from Seattle. He underwent a sobriety examination and did not show any signs of alcohol or drugs, but the patrol continued to investigate. Suspects face multiple felony charges.
