The Syrian Ministry of Health announced today, Saturday, the registration of 10 new infections with the new Corona virus (Covid-19), and the extension of the quarantine on the new town of Artouz al-Fadl, southwest of the capital, Damascus.

The ministry said in a statement, that 10 cases of HIV infection were recorded for people in contact, raising the total number of recorded infections to 338.

According to the ministry, the number of people infected with the Coronavirus has reached 238 cases, of which 123 have recovered, while 10 have died.

Sources in the Quneitra governorate revealed in statements to (d. B. A) that the quarantine on a new town, Artouz Al-Fadl, will last for 14 days after recording new injuries two days ago.

The Syrian authorities imposed a quarantine on the town on June 21 after the death of a woman and the registration of HIV infections.

The number of people infected with Corona virus increased significantly during the current month, during which the last four days were recorded 59 cases, while the number of people infected during the month of June last reached 157 cases.

The first case of corona virus was recorded in Syria on the twenty-second of last March for a person coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on the twenty-ninth of the same month.
