This was reported by the press service of the office of the President of Ukraine.

“Today’s meeting took a step closer to holding the summit in Berlin,” Yermak’s words are quoted.

The press service added that the participants in the meeting in Berlin discussed in detail the process of implementing the agreements reached by the leaders of the Norman-format countries at the summit in Paris in December 2019.

The statement indicates that the parties identified a number of tasks that should be implemented during the upcoming meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group "to expedite the negotiation process and create the prerequisites for the next Norman-format summit in Berlin."

Earlier, the deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Kozak said that during a meeting in Berlin of political advisers of countries participating in the Norman format, “it was possible to come close to the idea that a set of additional measures should be taken to stop the exchange of fire”.

At the same time, he said that it was premature to talk about agreeing a Norman summit. Kozak added that there was no talk of a “breakthrough” in the negotiations on the Donbass.
