The department noted that the "American claims" that Russia allegedly violated the moratorium on nuclear testing by conducting nuclear experiments that do not meet US standards of "zero power" are not supported by any evidence.
The Foreign Ministry said that “the Americans themselves admit that they do not know about the number of such experiments in 2019, or whether they were carried out at all” and emphasized that Russia, based on its international obligations, “should not follow any“ standards USA "in the field of nuclear testing."
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that "they are forced to note a serious deterioration of the situation" around the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.
