Russians, Sudanese and Chadians have joined the ranks of the Haftar National Libyan Army (LNA). Turkish mercenaries and thousands of Syrian auxiliaries have been sent by Turkey to support militias loyal to the government of national unity (GNA) led by Fayez el-Sarraj. More numerous and with more modern weapons, these Syrian mercenaries have changed the equation on the ground.
Agreement of the Turks with the Islamists of Islah
To these Syrians are now added Yemenis. A first group of Yemeni mercenaries of 200 men sent by Turkey landed in Tripoli earlier this week, explains our journalist Houda Ibrahim . The information is supported by several sources. The agreement between Turkish intelligence and the Yemeni Islamist party Islah is as follows: " Help us in Libya and we will help you in Yemen ".
The Islah party is the most powerful armed wing of the Muslim brothers in Yemen. According to several observers, this Islamist party wants to form an alliance with Ankara which is preparing to intervene militarily in Yemen. According to these sources, the Turks want to reproduce on the Yemeni terrain the Libyan scenario, exactly as they did in Libya by reproducing the scenario of their intervention in Syria.
In this game of alliances, Turkey is united with Qatar, support of the Muslim Brotherhood against another group made up of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

A trip through Turkey to land in Tripoli
According to various sources in Yemen and Libya, the Yemeni mercenaries were first trained in the Hamad camp, in Yafrus in the Taiz region of Yemen. Then they were transported to Ankara as being war wounded when they really are not, only to be transferred to Tripoli.
The first information on Yemeni mercenaries in Libya dates back more than three weeks. The ANL then broadcast a video showing combatants captured during the clashes near Tripoli. Three of them presented themselves as Yemenis. One of them said he came from the city of Taiz and a fourth said he was Tunisian.
