The Corona pandemic has exacerbated the economic situation in Iran, already hit by US sanctions.

The local currency fell against foreign currencies, especially the dollar, and the purchasing power of the citizen decreased due to the increase in the inflation rate to more than 30%.

And the current economic indicators seem annoying to Iran, as the expected deflation rate will reach 6% this year, according to the International Monetary Fund.

As for the margin between the average per capita income and the poverty line, it is no longer significant, as the average income is about 6 million tomans (the dollar equals 4200 tomans at the official price), while talk is about a poverty line of about 5 million tomans.
