The Minister of Endowments, Muhammad Mukhtar Juma, decided to end the service of the administrative director of the Imam Hussein Mosque and punish two imams of the mosque with a one-month deduction from the boarding allowance and punish the workers of the mosque workers and the rites of the rites with a three-day deduction from their salary, based on the investigation conducted by the Cairo Endowments Directorate today and the memo I brought it in this regard.
The Minister of Awqaf commissioned the Cairo Endowments Directorate to sterilize the mosque and make a safe campus, preventing access to the shrine during the opening of the mosque for prayers and reporting after the assignments are completed.
He also formed a committee headed by Sabri Yassin, director of directorates sector, and membership of both the head of the Central Department for Engineering Affairs Majdi Abu Eid, the head of the Central Administration for Mosques and the Noble Qur’an Noah al-Issawi, the undersecretary for affairs in Lower Egypt’s director Alaa Sha’lan, the director of directorates each in his district, and the imam of each open mosque It has a shrine, by applying the issue of the safe sanctuary in all mosques that have shrines, and in a way that prevents some from wiping the hands for the sake of safety for all, and under all their responsibility with the managers of the departments and inspectors in the areas within which these mosques fall.
The Minister of Awqaf stressed, according to "Al-Masry Al-Youm", that this will be completed in all open mosques with shrines no later than next Tuesday, with the head of the Minister's Office Sector reporting written and signed by the Central Committee of the Diwan, in a manner that fully accomplishes the mission at the latest. He added: With the imams of mosques taking all the measures that prevent any violation from occurring from now on, and not waiting for the determination of the safe campus, which comes an increase in the emphasis on adhering to the preventive measures and assisting those in charge of the mosque’s affairs in the absence of any violation or violation.
The Cairo Endowments Directorate closed the Al-Hussein Mosque until further notice and referred all imams and workers in the mosque for investigation due to their negligence in their job duties, as a result of the departure of some of the worshipers after one of the prayers from the precautionary measures decided by the Ministry to diverge and only perform the obligatory prayer.
The head of the religious sector in the Ministry of Awqaf, Jaber Taya, revealed that the decision to close the mosque came after the appearance of negative manifestations in the mosque, whether by worshipers, or the neglect of workers in the mosque.
He added that the decision to close the Al-Hussein Mosque is a heart-breaking and severe decision, but it was necessary to preserve the health of all.
The head of the religious sector in the ministry said that the process of reopening the mosque will take place after re-sterilization again and putting controls and caveats.
