China News Service, July 4th, according to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Chinese citizens have recently consulted about transfers back to China via Moscow International Airport. The Chinese Embassy in Russia reminds us that although the epidemic situation in Moscow has been alleviated, it is still severe, and closed public places such as airports are still susceptible to dangerous areas. The embassy in Russia suggested to choose carefully from Moscow to return home. If you really need to transfer from Moscow, please be sure to understand the transit policy, anti-epidemic requirements and supporting flight information from Moscow in detail, and arrange the itinerary properly.

  1. About transit policy

According to international practice, if foreign citizens transit Moscow and do not leave the international transfer area of the airport within 24 hours, they can transfer normally through the international transfer channel without having to apply for a Russian visa.

Those who stay in transit from Moscow or stay in the international transit area for more than 24 hours must obtain a Russian transit visa in advance at the place of departure. At present, Russia has not opened visa processing. For details, please consult the Russian embassy in the country of origin.

  2. Requirements for Epidemic Prevention

Before leaving, Chinese citizens should make sure that they are in good health and have no symptoms such as fever and cough, and fill in the "International Health Code" in full to ensure that they meet the flight requirements. Since May this year, passengers who have returned to China directly or transited from Moscow must check the negative report of nucleic acid test (nasopharyngeal swab) within 120 hours.

Chinese citizens who apply for the above visa-free transit must complete a negative report of nucleic acid test (nasopharyngeal swab) before boarding the aircraft at the place of departure. The nucleic acid testing institution must be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country of origin. For details, please consult the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country of origin. A negative report issued by a nucleic acid testing agency that has not been identified by the Chinese embassy or consulate cannot be used as a boarding pass.

  3. Supporting flights

At present, only two flights (from the departure point to Moscow and from Moscow to China) are accepted for the same airline. It is recommended that the transfer personnel must confirm with the airline in advance whether they can board and transfer smoothly to avoid illegal detention and economic loss.
