04 July 2020 A peak of infections in the last 24 hours (70,644) has shown that the curve of the coronavirus pandemic still seeks its settlement in Latin America, while cases have reached 2,793,946, with a strong increase in deaths to 124,118 (+2736). This is what emerges from a statistical processing carried out by the Ansa on the basis of data from 34 Latin American countries and territories. 

Brazil continues to pull the growth in numbers, with a pace in line with the last few days, both for the infected (1,539,081, +42,223), and for the dead who have reached 63,174 (+1,290). The pair of countries that follow in the ranking is made up of Peru (295.599 and 10.226) and Chile (288.089 and 6.051). Then there are seven countries with more than 30,000 infections: Mexico (245,251 and 29,843), Colombia (109,505 and 3,777), Argentina (72,786 and 1,437), Ecuador (60,657 and 4,700), Panama (35,995 and 698), Dominican Rep. ( 35.148 and 775), and Bolivia (35.528 and 1.271).

In the US 57,683 cases in 24 hours, a record

The Libyan National Center for Disease Control has announced this on its official Facebook page, stating that the dead rise from 26 to 27, the recovered from 224 to 230, and the currently positive people from 641 to 661. The borders remain closed.
