The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tidros Adhanum Gebresos, said in a press conference today, Friday, that the organization expects to produce preliminary results within two weeks of clinical trials that are conducted on drugs that may be effective in treating Covid-19 patients.
Mike Ryan, head of the WHO's emergency program, said it was unwise to predict when a SKV vaccine would be ready for mass distribution.
He added in a press conference that while the effectiveness of a vaccine may appear by the end of the year, the question is when can it be produced in large quantities.
