“An emergency warning was announced about the possibility of emergencies in the territory of the Magadan Region on July 3–6, 2020,” the press service of the Kolyma Fire and Rescue Center quotes TASS.
It is noted that in the region for more than 200 days about 200 thousand hectares of forest have been burning.
Residents of the region complain of heavy smoke.
Earlier, Russian forest fire services eliminated 79 forest fires over an area of more than 4.3 thousand hectares during the day.
