“Viktor Medvedchuk comments on an article by Russian President Vladimir Putin, published in the American journal The National Interest, which caused great resonance and was widely covered in both the world and Ukrainian media,” the channel reported.

They also noted that they consider their mission “to convey to the viewers an up-to-date news agenda with the comments of people's deputies, scientists and experts.”

“In this situation, we evaluate the actions of the National Council as an act of censorship of a punitive authority, which once again demonstrated its bias towards the 112 Ukraine TV channel,” the channel said.

On July 2, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting announced that it would check the channel after Medvedchuk “positively evaluated” Vladimir Putin’s initiatives in international politics on air.
