The magistrate of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court, Eduardo de Porres , has cited the deputy Laura Borràs as investigated for the next day 22 at 11 am, according to legal sources.
The magistrate instructs the case open to the independence deputy where the awarding of several contracts by the Catalan Institution of Lletres (ILC) is being investigated at the stage in which Borrás was its director. The independence leader allegedly abused her functions to award contracts by finger when she was at the head of ILC between 2013 and 2018 to her personal friend, the computer scientist Isaías Herrero . Laura Borrás is being investigated for crimes of prevarication, fraud against the Administration, embezzlement of public funds and documentary falsehood.
The subpoena comes after the High Court received authorization from Congress to investigate the deputy.
