As noted by the police, a criminal case has been opened on the theft of budgetary funds through fraud.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2016, the head of a commercial organization received budgetary funds and concluded a number of contracts with IP-controlled entities to perform work “in the interests of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation”.
At the same time, the entrepreneur had no intentions to fulfill the obligations undertaken in full, Volk emphasized.
“Then, the customer was presented with the results of the work performed, which obviously did not meet the terms of the contracts,” she added.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the reception was carried out by "an accomplice of the suspect, who held a senior position in the department."
“Thus, the Ministry suffered damage in the amount of more than 40 million rubles,” the ministry said.
Both defendants detained, the investigation continues.
