The case around racist comments exchanged by Rouen police officers on WhatsApp takes on a little more thickness every day. The dismissal of a security assistant was thus requested in disciplinary council, we learned this Thursday from union sources and close to the file. Tuesday, another disciplinary council organized in Rennes had already unanimously demanded the dismissal of three Rouen police officers.

Black policeman files complaint

The case started with the filing of a complaint by a black police officer, assigned to the Administrative and Judicial Assistance Unit, against six of his colleagues stationed in Rouen after discovering that he was the target of racist remarks by their share.

A preliminary investigation had been opened and the IGPN (Inspector General of the National Police) had been seized "on the basis of various offenses, including aggravated non-public defamation and non-public provocation of discrimination".

At the beginning of June, Arte Radio broadcast the words of these police officers, reviving this affair when the police were accused of violence and racism.
