03 July 2020The U.S. film actors union told its members not to work on the pandemic thriller in preparation for Songbird ', saying that production would not have been transparent about security measures and would not have signed the right agreements for this film which is among the first in production after closure for coronavirus. Ap reports it through LaPresse.

The actors were reportedly rehearsing for Michael Bay's film directed by Adam Mason with Demi Moore, Peter Stormare and Craig Robinson. The film would tell of a "post-pandemic world", with an even more lethal virus "which continues to change".

But the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Actors has ordered its members to stop everything, otherwise there is a risk of disciplinary action. "The manufacturers have not been transparent about the security protocols and this is something we obviously take very seriously," said a SAG-AFTRA spokesman in a statement.

The small film was among the first to attempt to resume production after long shutdown. California Governor Gavin Newsom has given the go-ahead for film and television productions to resume filming in the state starting June 12.

One of the companies involved in the project, Invisible Narrative, told Deadline: " We are actively working to resolve this bureaucratic problem with the union. "
