The police said no to the three-week demonstration on the grounds that it could not be guaranteed that it would comply with the Government's regulation of a maximum of 50 people at public gatherings to reduce the spread of infection.

The Solidarity movement in Halland appealed to the Administrative Court, but was rejected. Now they move on to the Chamber of Appeal.

"This is not Stockholm"

At Black Lives Matter demonstrations in Gothenburg and Stockholm, more people joined than the organizers had applied for.

- This is not Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö. Halmstad is small, it will not be the same problem here to keep the restrictions, says Hamza Yalcin, spokesperson for the Solidarity Movement.

Administrative law: Can not guarantee a maximum of 50 people

The Administrative Court writes in its refusal that by advertising the event on social media, one cannot guarantee that there will be no more than 50 people. At the same time, they write that the demonstration right is very strong and that there are few opportunities to deny it.

In the video, Hamza Yalcin shows how the Solidarity movement in Halland intends to do to meet the 50-person limit.
