During Hachalu Hundessa's funeral, tumultuous scenes were played out and at least six people must have been injured. According to witnesses on the scene, police shot in the air to prevent the mourner from entering a football stadium in the artist's hometown of Ambo.

Several arrestsHundessa's political songs are strongly linked to the protest movement in Ethiopia. The country's prime minister, and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Abiy Ahmed himself is unlucky but is now projected to lose ever more support from his own people group.
Several notable arrests have also been made. Opposition politician Bekele Gerba was arrested along with well-known oromo activist Jawar Mohammed and 34 other people.
More and more questionedFor three years Ethiopia was shaken by major demonstrations and unrest until then Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn stepped aside.
